Science shows that “being heard” by another person can significantly reduce stress, improve self-esteem and facilitate the healing process. When someone feels truly listened to, their brain releases ocytocin, which promotes the feelings of connection, trust and relaxation, aiding in stress reduction and emotional regulation.

With that in mind, my Mind Body Skills partner Patti and I have created The Power of 20, a 20-minute session where we provide space to actively listen. This is not therapy, tarot or even advice-giving, but simply a session where you are free to express yourself without fear of judgement or criticism.
